Alongside COLREGs, Buoyage is another topic you are virtually guaranteed to be asked about during your MCA oral exam. This commonly takes the form of either telling the Examiner about a certain buoy's characteristics or navigating your way through the dreaded buoyed channel, explaining your actions and the buoys' characteristics as you do so.
